We are hiring a Sr. EHS Manager for our 600,000 square food frozen pies plant in Stilwell, OK! In this role you will be responsible for ensuring safe working environment for all employees at multiple facilities by implementing and monitoring facility safety programs and developing controls for all areas of property and casualty risks. Oversees the facilities and all contractors/vendors follow all Federal State and Local Safety and Environmental Regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the areas Safety Environmental and Risk.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain all safety reports, logs, and other documentation to ensure compliance with federal state and local agencies.
- Facilitate all government safety inspections for designated location(s) and respond in a timely manner in coordination with facility management to inquiries/inspections by loss control service provider and government agencies (OSHA, EPA, Insurance Carrier, etc.).
- Develop, maintain, and implement safety/environmental procedures, programs, incentive programs, and awareness material to reduce, control, and eliminate occupational safety and environmental and health hazards.
- Develop and provide direction for Safety Committees.
- Perform accident investigations, conduct safety audits to ensure compliance with company & governmental regulations, and ensure understanding and enforcement of plant safety rules.
- Provide special training programs including Supervisor safety training and special employee safety training programs.
- Ensure that facility and all contractors/vendors follow all Federal State and Local safety/environmental regulations and compliance to include timely submission of all environmental reports with the appropriate interface with regulator agency personnel and lost control service providers. Conduct environmental audits to ensure compliance with company and governmental procedures and regulations.
- Undertake or directly supervise the undertaking of identification of hazards, evaluation of risk, and the design and implementation of hazard control measures applicable to research projects.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of procedures and interventions arising from risk assessment including occupational health and safety considerations in the design specification, purchase hire lease, and supply of new plant equipment materials, products, and substances.
- Ensure the provisions of plant safety systems and personal protective equipment required to control the risk of hazards in the workplace. Facilitate the reporting of workplace hazards to the person(s) who can implement corrective action.
What We Look For:
- 8+ years of experience in EHS or manufacturing safety environments.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (public health, environmental safety, or similar).
- Previous Management Experience in Risk Management/Safety areas.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations with respect to OSHA Workers.
- Compensation ADA EPA regulations USDA and other applicable Acts and a demonstrated/leadership role.
- Experience in Loss Control Consulting or Industrial Health and Safety.
- Experience in Managed Care Return-To- Work and/or Claims Management.
- Ability to effectively supervise employees.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and give presentations to small and/or large groups of people.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $107,000 to $178,000 annually with eligibility for a 20% annual incentive bonus that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
