Shift: 1st shift C Crew
Hours: 6:30am-6:30pm Every other Wednesday-Saturday

Summary:
This position, under limited supervision is responsible for managing warehouse automation, outbound and inbound flow of product, and managing levels of warehouse consumables. This position will also regularly communicate with upstream production personnel and downstream schedulers.
Responsibilities:
- Shipping management for inbound and outbound
- Interface directly with plant production to determine schedule and impact to automation
- Monitor Warehouse Control System (WCS) for inventory comingling and initiate routines to achieve required levels of pallet storage
- Monitor number of missions created by release of work to the system to ensure ability to complete required workload in automation and advise shift supervisor of potential conflicts
- Prepare and distribute reports on hourly and daily performance goals with respect to automation
- Operate system of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and transfer stations, becoming a Subject Matter Expert on AGV system operation, including sequencing, level loading, and optimization.
- Manage warehouse consumables (example: iGPS, CHEP, stretch wrap, etc)
- Ability to operate Clamp and Fork truck forklifts
- Participation in continuous improvement teams
- Understanding of WMS, WCS, and IT integration and its impact to the operation of automated systems
- Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, central IT / AOT teams and vendors to ensure issues are properly understood and accurately assigned
General communication and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of co-workers, management, and executive staff workers The employing subsidiaries of Preferred
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Years of Related Experience: 3+ years or relevant experience
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong ability to multitask and problem solve. Knowledge of AGV routing and system management. Detailed understanding of WMS (SAP), WCS (Savanna.net) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of TMS & YMS systems, clamp and fork truck forklifts is preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational, Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Ability to obtain a valid forklift license. Ability to work in cold/freezing temperatures of 30 degrees. Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs.
