We’re looking for a National Account Manager to join our growing Foodservice team, ideally based in Nashville, TN or a nearby major metro area. In this role, you’ll lead the sales and strategic management of key C-Store, top chain, and grocery deli accounts—driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and maximizing sales and profitability in alignment with our marketing strategy.
What You Will Do:
- Initiate direct sales calls on account headquarters and lines of business for assigned accounts.
- Manages a $26M annual portfolio.
- Formulate and negotiate pricing and program contracts for assigned accounts.
- Assure contract parity between customers.
- Develop and maintain account plans outlining strategic and tactical developmental efforts within each account.
- Cultivates meaningful customer relationships through frequent engagement, proactively identifying and resolving challenges.
- Effectively communicates account initiatives and execution plans to the field sales teams and management. Supports field sales team with key local customer events and problem resolution when necessary.
- May provide insight and/or lead the analytics, trade and reporting that support the strategic business needs.
- Assist with the development and training of the field sales organization for contract management company business.
- Assist in the planning, development, administration and monitoring the effectiveness of promotional programs.
- Maintain current customer files and pertinent database information on all accounts.
- Compile all required reports on a timely basis including sales projections, products, sales results, expenses, trade shows, etc.
- Assist management in the research and development of new products /processes suitable for accounts.
- Support the organization in areas of product knowledge, promotional knowledge, sales, performance reports, industry information, and marketing plan development and execution.
- Travel up to 20% within assigned region.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience
- 7+ years of experience in the foodservice industry across manufacturing environments and diverse sales and distribution systems
- Experience managing headquarters-based customer accounts and complex business relationships
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret primary and secondary research and financial data
- Proven success developing, managing, and optimizing budgets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
What We Offer:
The base salary range for this position is $107,000 - $178,000 annually with eligibility for a 25% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance and car allowance. The range reflects factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and starting salary may fall anywhere within the stated range.
