This position will serve as the main customer service touch point within new venture fine casual restaurant.Their duties include: answering to customer questions on menu, taking orders, serving food and drinks, resetting tables for the next service, and maintaining a clean work space. Must work closely with other employees to coordinate high level of customer service and efficient operations within the restaurant.
Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while serving the highest quality desserts to guests.
Assist patrons in the selection of food and beverages by presenting the menu and explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate wines, and answering food preparation questions.
Highly trained on point of sale system. Ensure accuracy of orders and payment received.
Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices, identifying patron’s specialty dietary needs and special requests.
Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
Help to clear dishes and clean tables for patrons.
Utilize clean work habits and maintain a safe, clean work area.
Assist other team members as needed.
Comply with and enforce restaurant and OSHA sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Interact with and build relationships with customers.
Be punctual and work quickly and effectively in high pressure situations or rush period.
Able to work early or late hours, holidays and weekends.
Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
