GENERAL PURPOSE:
This role is for the right candidate who lives in the general Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, or Marshall, MN, areas. This position, under general supervision, is responsible for finished goods receipt & shipment transactions and reconciliation of inventory at the distribution centers, depots, and warehouses.
Responsibilities
- Verifies all finished good receipt and shipment transactions and enters transactions into inventory management system
- Ensures inventory quantities balance between the distribution centers, depots, warehouses, and the inventory system
- Identifies inventory transactions which causes the inventory system to be out of balance and documents the differences.
- Communicates to the appropriate department or facility when transactions are not completed in a timely manner
- Enters adjustments in the inventory system to insure the inventory is accurate, posts to the General Ledger accurately, and generates accurate billing documents to the warehouses where appropriate
- Monitors cycle count adjustments and damaged products
- Ensures products that are past shelf life or have quality issues are put on hold at the warehouses
- Responds immediately to Product Hard Hold Procedures and Product Recall/Recovery requests by supplying quantity of product by location, placing product on hold, and research where product has been shipped
- Generates Release Notifications to the warehouses as requested
- Ensures product that has reached 90 days past shelf life is disposed of
- Creates monthly reports for warehouses and distribution centers with regard to overages & shortages, damage, aged inventory, and shelf life.
- Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Years of Related Experience: 0-3 years related experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Reporting and query ability in database tools such as SAP, Cognos Query Studio, and Business Warehouse. Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office,. Must possess an understanding and experience in manufacturing planning and/or distribution systems. Knowledge of supply chain management very helpful. Strong mathematical, analytical and organizational skills. Must be detailed oriented person, able to handle and prioritize many duties. Must have excellent written, proofreading, and communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must have analytical skills to problem solve sources of transaction errors.
