We are seeking an Associate Accountant to join our team! This role is available in either of our HQ offices: Bloomington, MN or Marshall, MN. This position, under direct supervision, is responsible for performing simple to moderately complex accounting functions in one or more of the following areas: general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, treasury, tax, cost projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with monthly financial close which includes completing accounting accruals, analyzing income and expense related accounts, and preparing financial statements, schedules and reports.
• Assists in the preparation or gathering of schedules and analysis for internal and external use
• Prepares and analyzes management reports including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements.
• Helps review business unit financial statements and policies to ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines
• Assists with the preparation and compilation of the annual financial plan
• Reviews and verifies the accuracy of the journal entries and account classifications
• Understands and applies generally accepted accounting principles
• Completes projects associated with driving business results
• May perform additional accounting tasks such as fixed assets, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc. as dictated by Business Unit needs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent.

• Years of Related Experience: 0-2 years related experience.

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficient PC skills including SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc; intermediate skills in the use of electronic general ledger systems including the generation and use of reporting tools; able to apply general accounting concepts to daily work functions; good communication and interpersonal skills; good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; CPA or pursuit of CPA preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $47,250 - $78,750 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance. The salary range represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
