Join The Schwan Food Company as a Logistics Technicianat our corporate office in Marshall, MN. In this role, you’ll manage centralized freight planning to ensure timely, efficient delivery of raw materials and finished goods across multiple plants and business units.

Responsibilities:
• Develops cost-effective, efficient transportation plans based on freight rates, carrier availability, and delivery schedules.
• Conducts routine and ad hoc logistics analysis to identify cost-saving and service improvement opportunities.
• Communicates freight cost impacts to management and partners with business units to drive efficiency.
• Serves as the primary contact for freight providers, internal teams, and external shipping/receiving locations.
• Coordinates freight scheduling, pickup, and delivery to ensure timely service during peak and non-peak periods.
• Resolves service issues and supports internal/external customer needs.
• Maintains data accuracy and integrity in the Transportation Management System (TMS); participates in system testing and upgrades.
• Supports team operations and may lead activities through rotating leadership roles.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1+ year of experience in transportation logistics, carrier, or account management preferred.
• Strong team collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel (spreadsheets, graphs, tables, scenario modeling).
• Ability to analyze and interpret data from multiple systems.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or load planning software preferred.
• Basic project management skills.

The base salary range for this position is $47,250 to $78,750 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
