We are hiring a Bid Pricing Analyst at our office in Marshall, MN. We're looking for someone who enjoys analyzing pricing and profitability of assigned business segments; including conducting financial analysis; generate revenue through price management, while collaboratively maintaining and growing business through bid wins to meet business objectives.
What You Will Do:
- Lead Competitive Pricing Analysis: Evaluate market positioning, competitor strategies, and regional trends to align with division pricing strategy.
- Develop & Approve Pricing: Conduct profit/loss, cost, and competitive analysis to recommend and approve pricing that meets financial targets and drives bid wins
- Manage Regional Pricing Strategy: Oversee pricing for assigned region or segment, ensuring consistency across accounts, markets, and contracts.
- Drive Profitability & Growth: Challenge pricing assumptions, analyze data, and identify margin enhancement opportunities.
- Oversee Bid & Contract Management: Lead direct bid projects, interpret contract terms, manage timelines, and complete pricing documentation.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Legal, R&D, Risk Management, Marketing, Sales, and Accounting to gather data and ensure timely execution.
- Maintain Pricing Systems & Reporting: Manage databases, audit data accuracy, prepare monthly and ad hoc reports, and monitor competitive insights.
- Communicate & Support Sales Teams: Serve as pricing point of contact, negotiate special quotes, recommend renewal pricing, and provide training and technical guidance.
- Monitor Deal Performance: Review deal accruals (committed vs. actual), identify discrepancies, and recommend adjustments as needed.
What We Look For:
- Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Years of Related Experience: A minimum 3 years of related experience
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Solid understanding of & experience in financial analysis. Good communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills. Proficient use of reporting & system tools (SAP, Bex, Cognos). Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize & manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. Strong organizational skills. Proven ability to coach and counsel external partners & internal colleagues on process. Ability to present to external business partners and senior management; experience in dealing with field sales personnel; excellent time management skills; analytical skills to conduct basic research data analysis and prepare recommendations; demonstrates logical analysis and problem solving skills; thorough knowledge of business practice and procedures in order to perform non-repetitive analytical work.
What We Offer:
The base salary range for this position is $54,000 - $70,000 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance. The range reflects factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and starting salary may fall anywhere within the stated range.
