As a Benefits Administrator, you will be a part of an integrated team responsible for educating, communicating, administering, advising and counseling employees regarding available benefits.
This position may participate in one or more of the following duties or activities as directed by supervision or management
Works as a part of an integrated team educating employees on available benefits, tracking and administering the employee/participants eligibility and enrollment in benefits from hire date to termination of employment/disbursement. Maintains and audits individual record of benefits including eligibility, enrollment/election and payment of premiums
Develops communication materials to effectively inform employees and or dependents
Administers loan obligations and court orders by responding to government/legal requests, researching and resoling issues, and works directly with outside third parties as appropriate
Provides managers and employees with advice and counsel on various plans, programs or processes related to eligibility, enrollment, claims, and or premiums
Interprets benefit contracts, government regulations, company policies, procedures, and guidelines, to administer the benefit and respond to inquiries and issues
Creates reports and presents training/education regarding available benefits to managers, employees, and/or vendors
Recommends and implements process improvements to support program development
Education: High school diploma or equivalent . Associates degree or equivalent preferred
Years of Related Experience: Typically has 2-4 years of related experience
- Solid interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Intermediate numeric data analysis
- Proficiency in desktop applications including excel and power point
- General knowledge of HR plans, procedures, programs, processes and government regulations
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information handled and work with minimal supervision.
