We are hiring an Associate Category Management Manager into our office in La Palma, CA. This individual will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of shopper relevant solutions that will ultimately enhance the category in Ethnic retail and distributor channel. This role will also assist with the development of in-store activation tactics to generate incremental sales and increase consumer purchasing behavior, and provide analytical support to leverage new in- store processes, merchandising vehicles, new products and unique promotions that create added value and enhanced competitive position.
What You Will Do:
- Support the development and execution of category management and shopper solutions that enhance category growth, retailer performance, and brand objectives
- Analyze product, category, and competitive performance using syndicated and internal data to generate actionable insights and recommendations
- Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and external partners to ensure in‑market execution of category and Go-To-Market initiatives
- Assist in innovation launches, product changes, and in‑store activations, ensuring readiness, alignment, and post‑launch performance tracking
- Support pricing, assortment, and promotional recommendations to improve shelf competitiveness and shopper engagement
- Help coordinate customer onboarding, distribution expansion, and operational execution, including item setup and launch support as needed
- Contribute to forecasting, inventory visibility, and issue resolution to support in‑store availability and minimize disruption
- Develop and maintain sales enablement and customer-facing materials to support communication and execution in the field
What We Look For:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
- Years of Related Experience: 4+ years of experience encompassing both category management and shopper insights functional roles.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Bilingual in English and Korean; Software/computer skills and strong proficiency in Windows; experience managing merchandising solutions; Prior experience using syndicated data as well as primary and secondary data to build actionable insights. Strong category management and shopper insight knowledge across multiple markets and accounts. Knowledge of general business, marketing and advertising principles; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; solid data analysis capabilities of insight research; strong interpersonal skills; good communication skills; both verbal and written as well as the ability to make effective presentations before groups; deal effectively with a wide variety of people, ability to multi-task as well the willingness roll up ones sleeves to produce results; highly motivated team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must be willing to travel on occasion.
What We Offer:
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 annually and eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance. The range reflects factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and starting salary may fall anywhere within the stated range.
