We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to serve as the primary HR partner for our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Frontline workforce. This role acts as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, providing day-to-day HR support, employee relations guidance, reporting, workforce administration, and project execution.
What You'll Do:
Employee Relations & HR Partnership
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for DSD Frontline
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
- Manage Level 1 employee relations issues and escalate when appropriate
- Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings, identify trends, and recommend actions
- Partner with leaders to resolve employee concerns and support escalations
Workforce Administration & Compliance
- Manage unemployment claims and related documentation
- Maintain employee and position data within HRIS systems
- Support employee transfers, promotions, and organizational changes
- Manage termination coding and related employment actions
- Support annual HR processes and coordinate employee recognition programs
- Produce weekly and monthly HR reporting
Compensation & Organizational Support
- Maintain compensation grids and related workforce data
- Support compensation administration and salary planning processes
- Prepare employee communications and related documentation
- Maintain organizational structures, positions, and employee records
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function
Safety & Employee Support
- Serve as the HR lead for workplace accident and injury investigations
- Partner with leadership, safety, and compliance teams to address concerns
- Escalate complex issues as appropriate
- Support DSD Frontline communications and employee engagement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Experience
- 3–5 years of Human Resources experience preferred
- Experience supporting employee relations, workforce administration, recruiting, or HR operations
- Experience partnering directly with frontline leaders and employees preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of employee relations, HR policies, and employment practices
- Knowledge of compensation, staffing, performance management, and workforce administration
- Thrives in ambiguity and can effectively prioritize and execute with minimal direction
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools preferred
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
What We Offer:
Pay Range: $54,000 – $72,000 annually
This position is also eligible for a 5% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance.
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including education, skills, experience, certifications, geographic location, and business needs.
