Join us as a Plant Financial Controller supporting our frozen pizza manufacturing facilities in Erie, PA, Northeast, PA, and Westfield, NY. In this high-impact role, you’ll be a trusted advisor on the plant leadership team, driving financial performance and shaping key business decisions by providing insights that improve profitability and efficiencies. You’ll oversee financial controls and reporting, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and help maximize the value of our plant assets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the plant's accounting team to manage financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial records and statements, including P&L and balance sheets. Provide regular reports on performance to assist with analysis. Lead the month-end closing processes.
- Controls costs and manages budgets by leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process, developing cost accounting systems, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities through data analysis. Responsible for managing strong financial controls for manufacturing expenses and evaluating the financial returns of new investments and capital planning.
- Advises plant management on key financial decisions, helping them understand the impact of their choices. They also serve as a liaison to corporate finance, collaborating on broader initiatives such as new projects and cost-reduction efforts. Uses financial data and analysis to inform strategic direction, ensuring alignment between plant and corporate objectives.
- Ensures financial integrity and compliance by implementing and enforcing internal controls to safeguard company assets. Verify that the plant adheres to company policies and accounting standards like GAAP, while also serving as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.
- Oversee the comprehensive management of plant assets, including inventory, contracts, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years related experience.
- A results-oriented professional with a thorough understanding of general accounting principles and advanced analytical skills, including the ability to detect trends using tools like SAP BW.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and integrated MRP systems, with intermediate skills in financial ratio and comparative analysis.
- This self-motivated leader effectively manages multiple projects to meet deadlines, influences targeted audiences, and presents financial data clearly to diverse groups.
- With proven communication and teamwork skills, this individual can also work independently with minimal supervision, leverage internal and external resources, and maintain confidential information.
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and manufacturing accounting is a plus, as are certifications like CPA, CMA, or CIA.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $81,750 to $136,250 annually with eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
